ABSTRACT

This study investigates the influence of organizational culture on employee productivity, focusing on the Ntarinkon Cooperative Credit Union Limited (NTACCUL). Organizational culture, which encompasses the values, beliefs, norms, and practices shared within an organization, plays a critical role in shaping employee behavior and overall performance. The study aimed to explore how elements such as leadership style, communication patterns, employee involvement, and shared values within NTACCUL affect staff productivity. A mixed-methods approach was adopted, combining quantitative data collected through structured questionnaires with qualitative insights from interviews and focus group discussions. The findings revealed a significant relationship between a strong, positive organizational culture and higher levels of employee commitment, motivation, and efficiency. Specifically, open communication, participative decision-making, and a culture of mutual respect were found to enhance productivity. However, challenges such as resistance to change and lack of innovation were identified as cultural barriers limiting performance. The study concludes that cultivating a supportive and adaptive organizational culture is essential for sustaining productivity and achieving long-term institutional goals. Recommendations include continuous staff training, fostering inclusive leadership, and regularly assessing cultural alignment with strategic objectives.
