Abstract
Google Scholar is an internet-based search engine designed to locate scholarly information, including peer-reviewed articles, theses, books, preprints, abstracts, and court opinions from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities, and other Web sites. This review looks at the strengths and weaknesses of this search engine to assist librarians in making informed decisions about the use of this tool.

1.6 THE SCOPE OF THE STUDY
The study will be carried out in the University of Buea, based on the effects of Google on the performance of students. It is limited to JMC students and some other departments in the University of Buea.

This study will be a stepping stone to creating awareness on the important and relevance of Google in student’s educational development. Since the study will be limited to buea in general, the researcher intends to educate the population who shall respond to these questionnaires on the importance of Google in student’s educational development.

- DEFINITION OF KEY TERMS
Google Scholar
This is a free learning platform dedicated to schools. Its goal is to simplify the creation and distribution of courses and exercises digitally. The platform was presented as an additional feature of Google Apps following a publication, the 12 august, 2014. (Yeskel, Zach, 2014).
Our work is divided into five chapters. Firstly, chapter one, which comprises the introduction, background of the study, the statement of the problem, the aim of the study, its objectives, the research questions, the hypotheses, the scope of the study, its significance, and structure of the study.
Secondly, chapter two, entitled review of literature, is made up of varieties of some works which were done and the definition of pronunciation as a whole.
Thirdly, chapter three, which is the methodology, deals with the research design, the description of the sample size, instrument for data collection, data procedure.
Fourthly chapter four, entitled presentation of data analysis and discussion, deals with the presentation of findings and results, and verifies the veracity of the hypothesis.
Finally, we have chapter five which comprises conclusion, recommendation, and some suggestion
